# Line chart

> Visualize your data with a line chart

Use `/line` to create a line chart — ideal for trends over time.

## How to use

1. Type `/line` and press **Space**.
2. Describe what to visualize — for example, *"monthly revenue over the last 12 months"*.
3. Grapple creates the chart and navigates you to it.

Or pick **Create from View** to build a chart from an existing view.

## Tips

* Line charts work best with a time-based grouping on the x-axis.
* Wait for materialization to reach **up to date** before the chart loads data.
